Happy October!

Hard to believe we have completed our First Month of School. The students are settling in well to new routines of School Life. Transitioning from an half day Kindergarten programme to a full day Grade 1 experience is tiring for many children. The children are also doing well learning how to keep themselves healthy by hand sanitizing frequently, wiping their desks, and using their mask. "Keep your space or cover your face" is our new mantra.

This month our focus has been mainly establishing routines and expectations. We are learning colour words, initial sounds, looking at patterns and working on building a sight vocabulary.

 Welcome to a new school year! This is a year like no other...and I am so thankful to be here at Our Lady of the Rosary School. We have many happy things to come, joyous discoveries, and reaching for new horizons.
